Information & resources about Oregon DPSST Private Security

DPSST's Private Security Program provides training and licensing services to its constituents in an industry-initiated effort to enhance professionalism among member-businesses and employees who provide services in the state of Oregon. The program works together with its policy committee members and the Board on Public Safety Standards and Training to establish professional standards, provide training to assist constituents in meeting these standards and enforce licensure and certification requirements for private security professionals and private investigators.

In an effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Oregon and protect employees and the public, the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training will be changing the way it provides services at its Salem campus effective immediately. Offices will remain open and staff can be reached by email or phone during regular business hours, but in-person interactions between staff and the public will be by appointment only.
